ISSA Awards Kaivac for Green Innovation
Hamilton, OH-November 29, 2007-Kaivac, developers of the No-Touch Cleaning(TM) system, were the proud recipients of the most innovative "Green" product award of 2007 at the recent ISSA/INTERCLEAN® North America tradeshow, the largest U.S.tradeshow for the professional cleaning industry, which was held this year in Orlando, FL.
According to an ISSA spokesperson, products in a variety of categories were evaluated by approximately 1,000 voters, which included distributors, building service contractors, and in-house professionals.
"The Green innovation award was a bit of a surprise for us," says Tom Morrison, vice president of marketing for Kaivac. "Although our products are environmentally responsible, our goals have always been to develop products that are scientifically proven to clean more thoroughly so that cleaning professionals can better protect public health. But ultimately, protecting health is a key goal of Green cleaning as well."
Morrison believes the new KaiFly system, which was introduced at the tradeshow, was a key reason for the award. The product is designed to clean various surfaces and combines microfiber, a window squeegee, and a chemical injection system to help remove harmful bio-pollutants.
"When workers clean surfaces with conventional towels and wipes, the wipes collect two to eight times more soil than the first surface cleaned, losing their cleaning effectiveness" says Morrison. "The KaiFly maintains equal effectiveness regardless of the number of surfaces cleaned, leaving surfaces cleaner, healthier, and Greener."
The ergonomically designed system also improves cleaning productivity considerably. In real-world testing, the KaiFly was able to clean surfaces in half the time as conventional methods.
