Ipsen U Wraps Up for 2012

CHERRY VALLEY, IL - Ipsen's instructional seminar, Ipsen U, wrapped up their last session for 2012 on October 18. Over the course of the past year, Ipsen U was able to share heat treating expertise and maintenance advice with more than 100 Ipsen U participants.

This session of Ipsen U followed the same modular format that was piloted in August's session, where multiple instructors shared their expertise on furnace processes and maintenance. This gives Ipsen customers the opportunity to engage more Ipsen experts and network within the heat treat community through meaningful discussion that is relevant and useful to them and their unique heat treating needs. One October Ipsen U participant explained "[I learned] how to protect and maximize the use of my investment."

There are exciting additions and changes to look forward to in 2013 including updated curriculum and new instructors. Every class is asked to provide feedback through evaluations to aid the continuous development of Ipsen U.

The Ipsen U curriculum covers a wide range of vacuum furnace topics, accommodating customers with all levels of industry knowledge. These topics include:

· Introduction to Vacuum Furnaces

· Why Vacuum

· Introduction to Heat Treating

· Components of a Furnace

· Furnace Sub-Systems

· Leak Detection

· Surveys

· Maintenance

· And more!
