IPC Midwest Expands Focus and Free Forums on Reliability

Brings Cost-Effective Solutions to Industry's Pressing Challenges

BANNOCKBURN, Ill, USA, June 4, 2009 - In a period of time-constraints and very lean budgets and staffs, IPC Midwest Conference & Exhibition will bring a breath of fresh ideas and cost-effective solutions to companies in the printed board manufacturing and electronics assembly industries and along with it, extend valuable opportunities to strengthen and build business relationships. IPC Midwest will be held September 23-24, at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center in Schaumburg, Ill. Online registration is now available at www.IPCMidwestShow.org.

Focused solely on the electronic interconnect industry, IPC Midwest features an exhibition with the industry's top suppliers, showcasing the newest products, processes and emerging technologies in all major categories, from adhesives to workstations. With free access to the exhibit floor, attendees can shop and compare equipment and processes for their unique needs all under one roof, saving time and travel expenses. Other free IPC Midwest programs include the Opening Session: A Leaded Engineer in a Lead-Free World; an IPC Technology Roadmap free forum; a Welcome Reception and new show floor forums on critical reliability issues.

Back by popular demand, the A-Line, a working production line, will be back full force on the show floor. Attendees will witness assembly in action as they walk the A-Line and follow a product from screen printing to component mounting (through hole and surface mount), and then through reflow - all while learning about the processes, equipment (and end-item cleaning) that were used to manufacture the assembly. Participating companies include: Ace Production Technologies, ASYS Inc., Aqueous Technologies. Bare Board Group, Fuji America Corporation, Kyzen Corporation, The Morey Corporation, and Promation Inc.

Unlike any other regional event, IPC Midwest also provides attendees with access to the premier technical conference, professional development courses and valuable standards development meetings that shape the future of the industry.

"IPC Midwest was created to bring an exciting and comprehensive industry-specific event to a convenient regional location," said Alicia Balonek, IPC director of trade show operations. "With recent industry advancements and changes in environmental regulations, it is more important than ever for companies to send their staff, keep up with the new information and technologies, and remain productive and competitive. This year, we were diligently strict in keeping costs to a bare minimum, so we could offer registration packages that provide training, networking and business solutions at substantial savings."

Group rates and other discount packages are available for event activities, such as the technical sessions and professional development courses. The event's Web site also lists additional cost cutting tips to help participants stay within budget.
