IPC Market Research Library Available at No Charge to Members

BANNOCKBURN, Ill., USA, December 19, 2008 - IPC membership is one investment that is appreciating in value this year. Effective January 1, 2009, IPC members will have full access to the market research reports created and commissioned by the IPC Executive Market and Technology Forum (Executive Forum) program, formerly available to IPC members only by subscription.

"In today's economy, associations are challenged to provide even more value to members. This new member benefit allows us to help our members in new ways," says IPC President Denny McGuirk. "Our Board of Directors sees market research data as a critical tool to help companies in our industry manage their businesses. The Board wants to make sure that they are available to all of our member companies."

The IPC Executive Forum, formerly the IPC Technology Market Research Council (TMRC), was created by IPC in 1975 to provide members with market data. "For many years, the TMRC mostly focused on the United States," says Sharon Starr, IPC director of market research. "With the changes in the industry and our members participating in the global market, we've updated our market research offerings so more reports look at global trends and statistics."

IPC members will have full access to the Executive Forum library through the IPC Members Only Web site, www.ipc.org/membersonly. The library includes market research reports, proceedings from the Forum's conferences and Supply Chain Tracker, a compendium of key current findings from the quarterly and monthly studies that IPC conducts for members.

In addition, selected Executive Forum presentations have been recorded and synchronized with the author's slides. These multimedia presentations are available in the IPC Members Only Web site as well.

"IPC membership is one of the best values in the industry already," says McGuirk. "At a time when companies are finding it necessary to pull back on their resources, we are pleased to expand access to IPC's extensive resources. IPC members can always rely on us to be there for them."
