IPC APEX India Contest to Showcase PCB Designers' Skills



BANNOCKBURN, Ill., USA, — PCB design skills will be put to the test at IPC’s PCB Design Contest, scheduled to take place 26 August  2013 at the NIMHANS Convention Centre in Bangalore, India as part of IPC APEX India™.



Open to PCB designers with advanced knowledge in electronic product design, the contest will recognize the best designers in India as judged on the following criteria: CAD tool expertise, knowledge of design technology and design standards, overall understanding of PCB design requirements and speed.



In addition to gaining the recognition of their peers, participants will be able to benchmark their PCB design skills against those of their design colleagues and receive recommendations from advanced certified designers (CID+) and world-class specialists in the field on how to improve performance.



The winner of the IPC APEX India PCB Design Contest will receive a cash award of ₹5000 as well as free registration to an IPC CID+ certification course worth ₹37,500. The runner-up will receive ₹2500 as well as free registration to the IPC CID+ certification course.



Entries will be accepted until 14 August. The design contest is produced by IPC — Association Connecting Electronics Industries® and sponsored by SIENNA ECAD.
