Innovation Leads to Celebration

Foss Manufacturing Company, LLC, long-time Batson customer, recently celebrated the unveiling of their brand new state-of-the-art needle punch line. Named Line J, this new line was designed and manufactured by Batson principal, Erko-Trützschler. State and local dignitaries, as well as American Trützschler CEO, Kurt Scholler, and Jim Pye, Batson Northeast Area Sales Manager, were in attendance as the ribbon was cut.

As one of the world's largest producer of nonwoven fabrics and specialty synthetic fibers, Line J will greatly increase Foss's productivity and effectiveness. "The superior quality from the new line will catapult us into the future via the use of finer-denier fiber and lighter weight fabrics. It will also allow us to maximize the exciting potential of our two key technologies, Eco-fi fibers and Fosshield antimicrobials fabrics", said David Rowell, executive vice president of sales at Foss.

The ceremony concluded in grand style with Foss being named the winner of the "Innovation Rocks" award for their Fosshield product line which safely and naturally inhibits the growth of destructive bacterial and is also effective against some viruses.
