Industry Support Enhances Value of World of Asphalt 2012 Show Experience

More than 20 leading U.S. and worldwide industry organizations, including U.S. government agencies, are lending their support to the 2012 World of Asphalt Show & Conference. Their participation enhances the networking and education opportunities for both attendees and exhibitors.

The 2012 AGG1 Aggregates Forum & Expo is co-located with World of Asphalt. The National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA), AGG1 show owner, is again holding its annual convention with the shows.

World of Asphalt will be held March 13-15, 2012 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

"We promote industry cooperation and co-locations to bring more value to the show as an industry gathering place. Participants can 'take the pulse' of the marketplace, sharing experiences with each other and checking out the newest products for future business efficiencies," stated Show Director Melissa Magestro.

Among the overseas organizations supporting the show are Venezuela's CAVEDREPA, Mexico's Asociacion Mexicana del Asfalto and the Mongolian Road Association.
The U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) are assisting in development of the Asphalt Pavement Alliance's (APA) Asphalt Pavement Conference being held at World of Asphalt. The Asphalt Pavement Alliance is a partnership of the Asphalt Institute, National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA - show co-owner) and state asphalt pavement associations.

Active industry participation also helps ensure that the show's People, Plants and Paving Training Program is targeted to meet industry professionals' needs. The training program is sponsored by NAPA with the Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturers Association (AEMA), Asphalt Recycling and Reclaiming Association (ARRA), Association of Modified Asphalt Producers (AMAP), International Slurry Surfacing Association (ISSA) and Rubber Pavements Association.

World of Asphalt will feature exhibits of the latest technologies and product innovations on the show floor, complemented by industry-focused education programs, geared to the needs of industry professionals in the asphalt, highway/street, pavement maintenance and traffic safety sectors.
