Fluid Power Industry Leaders Set to Gather for NFPA Annual Conference

Milwaukee, WI – Industry leaders from across the fluid power supply chain will converge on Scottsdale, Arizona, March 6-8, 2013 for the 2013 Annual Conference of the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA). The conference is widely regarded as one of the best opportunities for industry decision-makers to come together for education and networking.

According to NFPA CEO, Eric Lanke, “The NFPA Annual Conference is an opportunity for our members to meet, learn from one another and build lasting business relationships. And this year, with a theme of “Succeeding in an Increasingly Competitive Environment,” our members will hear from expert speakers on factors critically important for success in the coming years, including effective leadership, employee retention and empowerment, and productive channel partnerships, as well as macroeconomic factors that will affect their business in the next decade.”

NFPA has secured a number of high-profile speakers to provide multiple perspectives on this issue, including:

• Innovation Economics: The Race for Global Advantage, Rob Atkinson, Founder and President of the Innovation Technology & Innovation Foundation.

• Guiding Principles of Employee Retention-Simplicity, Speed & Focus, Jeff Musi, Sales Manager-Value Added Group and SBQ Products, Gerdau Special Steel North America and Mark Gilk, Director, Americas Distribution Sales, Eaton Corporation.

• WIN-WIN-WIN Channel Systems: Turning Landmines into Competitive Advantages, Richard Kolsky, Lecturer, Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

• Everyone is a CEO: Empower Your Staff, Billy Ray Taylor, Director of Commercial Manufacturing, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.

• Global and U.S. Economic Trends—Driving Forces to Watch for the Next Decade, Jeff Herzog, Senior Economist, Oxford Economics

Because NFPA’s members have a variety of different reasons for attending the conference, the featured speakers have been balanced to appeal to decision-makers across this spectrum. And importantly, because diversity of membership provides opportunities to learn from each other, unique knowledge sharing activities have been added to facilitate this interaction.
