ILMA Explores 'New Trends, New Technologies' at Annual Meeting

ALEXANDRIA, VA (October 19, 2009) - More than 740 ILMA members and guests representing more than 231 companies attended the 2009 ILMA Annual Meeting last week at Loews Miami Beach Hotel in Miami Beach, Fla. Highlights included the fun networking events, the golf, tennis and croquet tournaments, the informative industry and association committee sessions, and a few other special Miami-style treats.

"Members come to the Annual Meeting to network and get to know one another," said ILMA Executive Director Celeste Powers. "We design every meeting with networking in mind, and that's what keeps members coming back year after year."

"ILMA hit a home run with the Miami meeting," said Mike Ogburn of August Mack Environmental. "You know you've attended a first-class event when you look back at your day and realize that you solidified existing client relationships, developed and nurtured future prospects and attended a variety of meetings on topics of concern to ILMA Members. I look forward to attending in 2010!"

In addition to the networking sessions, the meeting hosted a very special Keynote Speaker, humorist and author Dave Barry, who spoke about his family and life in South Florida. Following Barry's address, Jim Taglia delivered an update on the Association's Ethics and Branding programs, which have become a hallmark of ILMA's commitment to raising the bar for our industry.
