Ilios to Exhibit at PROCESS EXPO in Chicago

WALTHAM, Mass. - Tecogen® Inc. (NASDAQ: TGEN) today announced that subsidiary Ilios Dynamics Inc. will exhibit at PROCESS EXPO, the Global Food Equipment Technology Show, in Chicago, IL from September 15-18, 2015. Held at McCormick Place, PROCESS EXPO is co-locating with the International Dairy Show and InterBev Process, giving attendees access to all three exhibitions and maximizing the potential audience for exhibitors. Spanning the entire spectrum of the food and beverage industry, thousands of professionals attend in search of the latest innovations in food processing and packaging technology for their businesses.

Ilios will be showcasing its line of High Efficiency Water Heaters at the event. Based on engine-driven heat pump technology, free heat from the natural gas driven engine is added to water-source heat or air-source heat for twice the efficiency of a traditional boiler. This process saves on electricity costs and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. "The Ilios water-source CHP is an ideal fit for food and beverage processing due to its ability to efficiently provide simultaneous heating and cooling; both of which are needed in large quantities at most food processing facilities," said Stephen Lafaille, Ilios Product Manager. "Obviously, the major driver for implementing this type of product is reducing operating costs, but we are also seeing the other benefits that Ilios provides such as a reduction in carbon footprint and clean emissions becoming increasingly more important to many companies who value environmental stewardship."

Robert Panora, President and COO of Tecogen, noted, "Attendance at industry events like PROCESS EXPO helps Ilios expand the addressable market for our products and raise industry awareness among potential partners. We look forward to exhibiting the Ilios technology at this and other events in the future."
