Igus, Inc.
P.O. Box 14349-T
East Providence, RI, 02914 0349
USA

Press release date: October 19, 2011

igus® will be exhibiting at booth number 11021 in the Kentucky Exposition Center during The Green Industry and Equipment (GIE) Expo. Some of the products on show will include a plastic bushing made of renewable materials, dry-running spherical bearings and easy-to-install piston rings.

igus' entire line of iglide® plastic bushings and igubal® spherical bearings are self-lubricating, corrosion-resistant and operate oil-free, which makes them ideal for a variety of outdoor equipment applications. They will not contaminate the environment like bronze bushings can because they do not require external greasing or oiling, which also helps to reduce maintenance costs.

iglide N54, made of 54 percent raw, renewable materials, uses vegetable oil rather than the more traditionally used crude oil. It is the first step towards developing an entirely environmentally friendly, or "green", plastic bushing.

iglide piston rings are a drop-in, easy-to-assemble replacement for traditional PTFE bearing solutions. igus offers its piston rings in various plastic materials able to withstand a range of environmental factors, from extremely high temperatures and chemicals, to dust, dirt and washdowns.

All of these products are ideal for use in outdoor equipment, from bailers and turf sprayers, to construction equipment, lawn-and-garden machinery and recreational vehicles.
