igus Announces New Bearings Catalog
East Providence, RI - August 2, 2011 - A new catalog for igus®' lines of iglide® plastic bushings, igubal® spherical bearings, and DryLin® linear bearings and guides is now available. The latest edition features a new table of contents, an easier-to-use layout, improved drawings, and a number of new or expanded product lines.
The catalog also offers three new options for selecting the best plastic bushing for any given application. Bearings can be selected according to industry, specific application parameters, such as underwater use or contact with food, or by using four main criteria, including load, temperature, coefficient of friction, and wear.
Some of the new products include iglide X6 plastic plain bearings for high-temperature applications, iglide piston rings: drop-in, easy-to-assemble replacements for traditional PTFE bearing solutions, iglide bar stock for machining custom parts and special bearing sizes, and DryLin leadscrew tables with a specially designed quick-release mechanism.
Expanded product lines include igus' xiros® plastic ball bearings and PRT sliding slewing ring bearings.
