Alliance offers subscribers access to 3,100 full-text English language papers from over 20 annual VDE conferences, with 1,000 papers added annually. Upgrade to IEEE Xplore Features VDE Content
PISCATAWAY, N.J. - IEEE, the world's largest technical professional association, has released an upgrade to the IEEE Xplore® digital library that highlights a new partnership with the German Electrical Engineering Society, VDE. The alliance offers subscribers access to all English language papers from more than 20 annual VDE conferences.
"VDE VERLAG, as the responsible publishing house is pleased to announce this partnership, giving IEEE customers easy and flexible access to VDE content," said Stefan Schlegel, CEO of VDE VERLAG.
The VDE content includes:
- 3,100 full-text VDE conference papers from over 20 annual conferences--complimentary for subscribers of IEEE/IET Electronic Library (IEL) and Proceedings Order Plan All (POP All)
- In addition to IEL, VDE content is also available via other IEEE Xplore options, such as an IEEE Enterprise corporate subscription, a standalone package or single-article purchase
- 1,000 papers added annually, with regular updates
- Links from your library OPAC catalog to IEEE titles
- A variety of technologies, including computing systems, optical communications, power systems, RFID technologies, telecommunications and many more

Other new features in IEEE Xplore
- A new search result feature adds the ability to sort search results by those most cited. This capability provides users with greater control over finding the more impactful research.
- Scitopia search results have been integrated into IEEE Xplore to provide researchers with additional content from 15 of the most highly respected society publishers in science and technology.
