ICUEE 2009 Show Update Exhibit Space Sales Near Record-Breaking Numbers; Check the Website for Latest Show Details

Exhibit space sales for the 2009 International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE) are within 10 percent of surpassing the record-breaking numbers of the last show, held in 2007. And, while it's still early, advance registration is tracking consistent with the 2007 show cycle.

"These precarious economic times have certainly affected our industry, but our exhibitors understand the business value of ICUEE and other AEM trade shows," stated Show Director Melissa Magestro of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). "They know they can conveniently connect with customers at ICUEE to exchange information and demonstrate their latest products and innovations."

Attendees will find more to see and do at ICUEE than ever before, Magestro added. "We have 100 percent more education, more industry co-locations to enhance networking, and more new products and technologies on the show site. It's a once-every-two-years showcase of the best the industry has to offer, all in one place in a centrally located U.S. city," she stated.

The biennial ICUEE, also known as The Demo Expo, will be held October 6-8, 2009 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

More than 1 million net square feet of exhibit space have already been reserved by returning exhibitors, large to small, as well as new-to-show companies. They represent a broad range of equipment, products and services for the electric, phone and cable, sewer and water, gas, general construction, landscaping and public works sectors. Attendees can "test drive" the equipment on display in job-like conditions, including a "ride and drive" program for on-road commercial vehicles.

Visit the show website for the latest information on attending or exhibiting at the show - www.icuee.com. Attendees can pre-plan their show visit, for maximum use of their time onsite, by using the website's interactive exhibitor directory and agenda planner.

They can search for companies by product key word or booth number (in addition to company name), locate exhibitors on a virtual trade show map, and assemble a personalized list of the exhibitors and products they most want to see onsite. Education sessions and meetings can be added, and attendees can also query exhibitors preshow for more information or to set up meetings.

A New Product and Technology Program section of the website will feature the latest exhibitor product innovations to help attendees find them faster at the show.

And, site visitors can keep up with the latest news on industry issues, trends and technologies through the site's Industry Intelligence section.

Advance registration is available online for the exhibits (a 50-percent saving off the onsite fee) and for education sessions (also at a cost savings), and attendees can make hotel and travel arrangements online.

A special International Visitors section provides information for non-U.S. attendees, including visa application assistance. Exhibitors can go online to streamline their exhibit experience by accessing the online services manual and marketing kit, the latest floor plans, directory listing forms and information on sponsorship opportunities.

The 2009 ICUEE education encompasses more than 115 classroom sessions, plus field trips and a HDD workshop. New programs/sessions are from Gas Technology Institute, Incident Prevention (iP), Industrial Utility Vehicle (IUV), National Rural Water Association (NRWA), Outside Plant (OSP) and Underground Construction Technology (UCT).

New co-locations at ICUEE for 2009 are the inaugural H2O-XPO show (water and wastewater), from NRWA which is also holding its annual convention in conjunction with ICUEE 2009, as well as the IUV Technical Conference and exhibit pavilion (design and engineering), and the iP Safety Conference and Safety Zone exhibit pavilion (safety and training).

"Now, more than ever, industry professionals need maximum productivity and efficiencies from their businesses. There's no more cost effective way than ICUEE 2009 to comparison shop for products and share knowledge and experiences with their industry peers," stated Magestro.
