IBM Closes Acquisition of BLADE Network Technologies
ARMONK, N.Y., Oct. 29 - IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced it has closed the acquisition of BLADE Network Technologies (BLADE), a privately held company based in Santa Clara, CA. Financial details were not disclosed. The companies announced on September 27, 2010 a definitive agreement to pursue the acquisition.
BLADE will become part of IBM Systems and Technology Group. The company specializes in software and devices that route data and transactions to and from servers.
