Hydraulic Institute Announces "Member of the Year" Award; Randy Bennett of Leistritz Advanced Technologies Receives Honor



Parsippany, NJ — The Hydraulic Institute named Randy Bennett,  Vice President of Technology & Operations, Leistritz Advanced Technologies Corporation, as its 2013 “Member of the Year”.  The award was conferred to Mr. Bennett at the Hydraulic Institute’s 2014 annual meeting held recently in Phoenix, Arizona.



The HI Board of Directors selected Mr. Bennett for his superior commitment to the Hydraulic Institute in both leading and actively participating in different HI committees in the advancement of the Institute’s technical work and guiding young engineers within the organization.



A member of the HI Institute for seven years, his recent contributions include serving as Chairman of the Rotary Committee that is responsible for the maintenance of three rotary standards; release of a new condition monitoring guideline; member of the Technical Affairs Steering Committee and mentoring engineers within the organization.



“As an active member of HI for nearly a decade, Randy has been actively involved in the different committees that support the future development of standards for the pump system industry as well as mentoring young engineers within our organization,” notes Robert Asdal, Executive Director, Hydraulic Institute.  “His ongoing participation and leadership in many of the key areas of HI exemplifies the qualities respected in a HI Member of the Year.”



In addition to his work at HI, Mr. Bennett is presently serving as VP Operations and Technical Affairs at Leistritz Advanced Technologies Corporation after serving as Technical Manager for nearly 20 years, significantly contributing to the company’s success as a leading manufacturer of engineered screw pumps.
