the Hydraulic Institute & Pump Systems Matter Announce Free ISO 50001 Webinar on April 9th



Parsippany, NJ - The Hydraulic Institute (HI) and Pump Systems Matter (PSM) will host a free webinar on the ISO 50001 - Energy Management Systems - Requirements with guidance for use Standard. Session participants will be led by Aimee McKane of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

ISO 50001 is a tool to reduce energy intensity and carbon emissions in facilities (as well as those belonging to their customers or suppliers) and to benchmark their achievements. This standard defines effective organizational management of energy resources and performance in accordance to relevant global standards and provides a framework for industrial plants or entire companies to manage all aspects of energy, including procurement and use. The standard provides strategies that will increase energy efficiency, reduce costs, and improve environmental performance. It contains terminology, measurement, and metrics including measuring and reporting on carbon emissions and addresses requirements regarding energy efficiency guidelines for building design and construction.
