Horsburgh & Scott Names Christopher Kete President and Chief Executive Officer
Cleveland, Ohio: September 17, 2010 - Horsburgh & Scott, a leading manufacturer of industrial gears and custom gear drives, announced today that it has appointed Christopher Kete as President and Chief Executive Officer. "Chris is a very talented executive who comes to us with a broad experience in leadership positions in the US Navy, Cummins, Inc and ArvinMeritor, Inc. Kete has broad management experience in executive and leadership positions across a wide range of commercial and operational functions. Kete joins Horsburgh & Scott after serving as Vice President and General Manager of Off-Highway, Specialty, and Defense for ArvinMeritor, having started there in 2009. Before joining ArvinMeritor, Kete spent eight years with Cummins, Inc. in several roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in his position as General Manager of Cummins Komatsu Engine Company, Inc. Kete is also a U.S. Navy veteran, serving our country as a Submarine Warfare Officer.
Kete holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.
