HITSP Announces Public Comment Period for Health IT Documents
The Healthcare Information Technology Standards Panel (HITSP), a multi-stakeholder group facilitating the development of interoperable healthcare data standards for the United States, is seeking public comment on several drafted Interoperability Specifications (ISs). Comments are requested by October 24, 2008.
The six documents currently under review relate to a variety of health information technology (HIT) issues, including transfer of care, public health information, and remote monitoring of medical devices, among others. All Panel and public comments received on these documents will be reviewed by the HITSP Technical Committees (TCs) in preparation for Panel approval in December.
HITSP members and public stakeholders are encouraged to review these documents and provide comments through the comment tracking system, which can be found at www.HITSP.org. The documents available for review are:
Personalized Healthcare Interoperability Specification (IS 08) and referenced constructs
Consultations and Transfers of Care Interoperability Specification (IS 09) and referenced constructs
Immunizations and Response Management Interoperability Specification (IS 10) and referenced constructs
Public Health Case Reporting Interoperability Specification (IS 11) and referenced constructs
Patient-Provider Secure Messaging Interoperability Specification (IS 12) and referenced constructs
Remote Monitoring Interoperability Specification (IS 77) and referenced constructs
