High-volume Freeze/chill Solutions from Linde Shift Meat Processing into "Overdrive"

Murray Hill & New Providence, N.J., U.S. - With protein processors under pressure to improve productivity, Linde North America is showcasing a range of patented cryogenic freezing/chilling solutions at AMI 2012 that can shift processing lines into a higher gear - with higher throughput and higher yields.

Linde is highlighting state-of-the-art technologies specifically designed to freeze/ chill meat, poultry and seafood products at high volumes. In addition, Linde's proprietary, high efficiency, hygienic designs can maximize yields by locking in moisture and reducing fines losses. Higher volume operations generally mean higher savings.

Cryogenic technology uses high-efficiency liquid nitrogen or carbon dioxide. To make it easier to shift lines to the latest solutions," Linde lease agreements reduce immediate capital outlays.

Linde technology to be featured at AMI, May 1-3 in Dallas, TX, includes:

o CRYOLINE® CW CRYOWAVE(TM) IQF Freezer (pictured). Patented rolling-wave action and high-efficiency design provides significant cost savings vs. flighted freezers, eliminating CO2 snow carryover and improving cleanability. Ideal for sliced and diced poultry and beef; pizza toppings, e.g. diced ham, pepperoni, hamburger or sausage crumble; tortellini and other pastas.

o CRYOLINE® XF Crossflow Spiral Freezer. High-efficiency hygienic design doubles the heat transfer rate of standard spiral freezers thereby reducing freezing costs. It offers capacity to 20,000 lbs. per hour. Ideal for freezing/crust freezing red meat, poultry, seafood, prepared meals, trayed or boxed products.

o ACCU-CHILLlTM Combo Chiller. Eliminates the back-straining handling and spreading of poultry and meat products and carbon dioxide (CO2) pellets in combo bins with automation. Patented technology precisely delivers CO2 snow for consistent chilling and rapid equilibration - and a leap in productivity. Ideal for poultry and meat products.

The Linde Food Team performs in-plant assessments to identify areas for process improvement and works with processors to develop optimal solutions that also maximize operational cost savings. For more information, visit Linde (http://www.lindefood.com) at AMI Booth #1610, or call: 800-755-9277.
