High-Resolution, 4" Widescreen Color Panels Complete with Profinet Interface

The Siemens Industry Automation Division has expanded its Simatic HMI Basic Panels range with two new pixel-graphic, high-resolution, 4" widescreen color displays, complete with Profinet interface. The Simatic HMI KTP400 Basic color PN comes equipped with a touch screen and four tactile function keys. The Simatic HMI KP400 Basic color PN offers eight tactile function keys as well as an alphanumeric keypad, enabling data entry just like on a cell phone. The tactile function keys and membrane keyboard ensure maximum input accuracy. Numerous software functions come as standard, including an alarm system, recipe management, trend curve functionality and language switching. The new devices can be configured in the Totally Integrated Automation Portal using the WinCC V11 Basic engineering software, which has already been integrated into Step7 Basic, the TIA Portal engineering tool. This versatile setup allows projects created for Basic Panels to be transferred onto devices in different performance classes or with different display sizes as and when required.
