Industrial Process / Power Generation Heavy Dampers for Isolation and Control

The Air Movement and Control Association International, Inc. (AMCA International) has reaffirmed its Publication 850-02 (R2011), Industrial Process / Power Generation Heavy Dampers for Isolation and Control. The revision is a major update for the publication and has improved readability and clarity. The purpose of Publication 850-02 (R2011) is to provide basic, pertinent information to simplify communications between damper manufacturers, designers, specifiers, and users of the equipment.

The scope of the products in this application guide includes dampers that are used to control the flow of gas or to isolate one section of a duct section from another section of that system. The type dampers referenced in the publication are generally described as heavy duty and are normally used in applications where extreme temperatures, erosion, and/or corrosion conditions exist.
