Harry Mason speaks on 6Gb/s SAS at FOSE in Washington DC, March 10



Washington DC - SCSI Trade Association (STA) will be located in booth # 1524 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Featured in the booth will be a Serial Storage Wire Newsletter (SSW) sign-up station for anyone who would like to subscribe. Harry Mason, President of SCSI Trade Association and Director of Industry Marketing at LSI, will speak on Tues., March 10, from 12:20 pm to 1:00 pm in the Free Education Session. His presentation is titled: "SAS and SATA Change the Face of Enterprise Storage." The session will be held in the Data Center Theater, booth # 1621.

The abstract of his presentation follows: "OEMs, system builders and end-users are deploying the feature-rich capabilities of Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) to extend Direct Access Storage (DAS) architectures beyond the traditional usage models. Functioning as a storage solution backbone, SAS allows large numbers of either SAS and/or SATA hard disk drives to be deployed in a variety of storage application environments, effectively extending SAS into new storage realms."
