Hanwha Showcases H.265 and WiseStream Technology in Q Series Cameras at ASIS 2016

Twenty-four New Cameras with up to 4MP Resolution and Superior Compression

Orlando, FL – At ASIS 2016, Hanwha Techwin America (booth #2641) is offering attendees the opportunity to get up close and personal with its new Wisenet Q Series cameras, which feature the highly-efficient H.265 codec. The 24 new Q Series models also include Hanwha’s WiseStream compression technology, which balances image quality and compression based on motion within a scene. When combined with the company’s XRN network video recorders and management software, users are now able to configure a complete H.265 system solution.

In the past, high-resolution video transmission and recording has come with added bandwidth and storage costs. H.265 compression delivers greater efficiency over the current H.264 standard, and can be combined with WiseStream to further reduce bandwidth and storage costs even further to generate additional savings.

“As video resolution continues to increase, the associated infrastructure requirements are also on the rise, which can put higher-resolution video out of reach for many end users,” said Tom Cook, Vice President of Sales, Hanwha Techwin America. “Using advanced technologies, we have designed the Wisenet Q Series bullet, dome and vandal cameras to be among the most bandwidth- and storage-friendly models in the industry – lowering the barrier to entry and total cost of ownership of high-quality video surveillance.”

Available in 2MP and 4MP resolution, Wisenet Q Series cameras are designed to provide a competitively priced video surveillance solution for education, banks, retail, healthcare, corporate facilities and municipal surveillance. The cameras include true wide dynamic range (WDR), Hallway View and Lens Distortion Correction. High power IR illumination is also provided as a standard feature to ensure the cameras deliver highquality video in low light environments.

Additional key features contributing to the overall flexibility and robustness of the new Wisenet Q Series cameras include: motion and tamper detection; PoE/DC dual power; and edge storage (NAS or micro SD/SDHC/SDXC cards up to 128GB).
