GF AgieCharmilles to Premiere New Technology at EMO 2011
Lincolnshire, Illinois - GF AgieCharmilles will premiere six new products that include milling centers, EDMs and flexible automation solutions in Hall 27, booth D44 at EMO 2011, September 19 - 24 in Hannover, Germany.
GF AgieCharmilles will showcase its machines, automation solutions and services in a brand new booth designed specifically to allow visitors to experience the full value GF AgieCharmilles provides to manufacturers in growing industrial areas. GF AgieCharmilles technical experts will also be on hand to demonstrate a variety of specific manfuacturing solutions for such industry segments as automotive, aerospace and aeronautics, medical and dental technologies, electronic components, and Information and Communication Technology.
On its milling product side, GF AgieCharmilles will debut two new machining centers, the MIKRON HSM 600U LP and MIKRON HPM 450U. The MIKRON HSM 600U LP is the ideal high-speed milling solution for prototype production, die making and fully automated low-volume series production where accuracy and surfacefinish are key success factors. The MIKRON HPM 450U is a high-performance machine that boasts a new torque rotary/tilt table for unencumbered five-axis machining and a spindle well suited for all applications from micro to macro. In addition to these new machines, GF AgieCharmilles will present its MIKRON HPM 800U HD, a fully automated five-axis, high-output compact machining center with various pallet magazines.
GF AgieCharmilles will also demonstrate its MIKRON HSM 400 LP Precision. The machine takes automated production of micro components for the die and mold sector to new heights in accuracy and surface finish.
Four all-new EDM products will be unveiled by GF AgieCharmilles at EMO 2011: the FORM 300 vP with System 3R WPT1+ automation, a highly versatile diesinker EDM solution representing new dimensions in autonomy and flexibility; the innovative FORM 200 mS diesinker EDM equipped with theRotary Tool Changer (RTC) system; the CUT 2000 OilTech wire EDM that uses oil as a dielectric for superior surface protection; and the DRILL 300, a quick, accurate, reliable and powerful 5-axis hole-drilling EDM machine.
For the most accurate in wire EDMs, GF AgieCharmilles will present its CUT 1000 specially designed for micro applications and equipped with the new Integrated Vision Unit (IVU) that provides optical access to part details that a 3D probe does not. Additionally, the company will showcase its CUT 200 wire EDM that accelerates productivity while offering greater autonomy over production costs and quality, along with the FORM 1000 diesinker paired with the new System 3R WPT1+ robot.
Visitors to EMO will get a first look at GF AgieCharmilles' latest automation solutions for managing complete manufacturing process flows, from preparation to machining. This includes programming (CAD/CAM level), management of the workshop, traceability, and handling. For handling, GF AgieCharmilles offers the Rotary Tool Changer (RTC), the firsttruly compact and modular robot, and the WPT1+ robot, available in four configurations for die-sinking EDMs but also compatible with milling and laser equipment. The affordable, flexible and sleekly designed new WPT1+ manages a variety of tooling in a wide range of weights.
The WPT1+, available as WPT1+ Light, WPT1+ Middle, WPT1+ Heavy and WPT1+ Heavy Plus, gives end users a full range of automation options suited to their applications and provides the capability to addressparts and tooling for two machines at once.
GF AgieCharmilles' will demonstrate its clean, highly accurate and flexible laser ablation technology with the LASER 1000 5Ax at EMO. The system can apply the finest textures in applications across many industrial segments from automotive to consumer and luxury goods. The LASER 1000 5Ax, one of six machines in GF AgieCharmilles' laser ablation machine portfolio, is an ideal solution for adding brand logos, continuous textures and hologram-like effects to molds for automotive interiors and embossing rolls and plates.
