Gefran Names Cecil Thomas as General Manager for Gefran's Motion Operations

Winchester, MA, August 8, 2007 - Gefran, Inc., a manufacturer of sensors and automation components for machine automation and process control, announces that Cecil Thomas has joined the company as General Manager for Gefran's Motion Operations in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In this newly created position, Cecil Thomas will be responsible for strategic product planning and market development for Gefran's motion products business in North America. Before joining Gefran, Mr. Thomas was employed by KEB America.
"Cecil has hands-on applications experience with drive and motion products, along with a successful track record of developing and growing business in the plastics, material handling, elevators and medical markets," said Mark Caldwell, CEO of Gefran, Inc. "His extensive product and market experience will be an asset to Gefran and our business development plans." As General Manager for Gefran's Motion Operations, Mr. Thomas will be reporting directly to CEO Mark Caldwell.
In July 2003 Gefran SpA, the company's Italy-based headquarters, acquired SIEI, a company that develops and produces state-of-the-art electrical drives to regulate the speed of AC electric motors, DC electric motors, brushless motors and advanced control solutions for process automation. Now Gefran, Inc., the Charlotte, North Carolina facility has fully staffed manufacturing, engineering, service and technical support teams for the company's drives and motion control products.
