Highly sought-after nonprofit workforce training organization announces expansion

Newton, MA -- GBMP is excited to announce its first branch office outside of New England will serve the mid-Hudson New York and Northeast New Jersey areas. GBMP's reputation for helping clients is well known in New England and this exciting expansion comes in response to a dramatic increase in client demand in the area. All of GBMP's trainers have at least twenty years of shop-floor and managerial experience as change agents in a Lean company.

Founded in 1994 at the University of Massachusetts Boston, GBMP is partnering with The Center for Operational Excellence at SUNY Stony Brook. Together they will offer unparalleled Lean and Six Sigma education to manufacturing and health care and service organizations needing to maintain the highest quality of goods and services while being squeezed by the rising price of doing business and increasing customer demand for lower and lower prices.

GBMP has been helping New England companies stay globally competitive and profitable for over two decades. Its mission, to perpetuate a positive future for industry and an increase in employment opportunities, is achieved through the implementation of The Toyota Production System (Lean Manufacturing) & the use of Six Sigma DMAIC methodology. A typical GBMP training project routinely realizes a five to seven time return on investment.

GBMP's proven-successful training model for onsite customized workforce training and development features tacit, hands-on, experiential learning that provides not only knowledge, but confidence. GBMP believes the key to the success of a lean implementation is to understand that continuous improvement is about tapping into the vast knowledge and creativity that resides within employees. GBMP's goal is to educate, empower and energize your people and change the way they think and work every day! Employees will strive to eliminate all of the waste from your operating processes and improve quality, leaving only the value-added work. GBMP also provides executive and top management mentoring and coaching and best-in-class Shingo Model™ education and facilitation. GBMP's vision, to be a leading contributor to strengthening industry in New England, has now expanded to the entire Northeast region of the United States.

"This has been a natural transition for us," notes GBMP President Bruce Hamilton, "owing to the similar profile of customers and needs between the two regions. From healthcare and medical equipment to biopharma, food and metalworking, GBMP's industry knowledge complements our Lean and Six Sigma experience in a way that is good match for the greater New York City area."

GBMP will begin offering free operational assessments and top management briefings in lean principles and methodologies in late September 2016.
