Gary Moyer to Assist Severn Trent Management Services with Florida CDDs

Key architect of Florida's Chapter 190 to assist Severn Trent in establishing, developing and managing community development districts.

FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. - June 11, 2007 - Severn Trent Services has announced that Gary Moyer will work with Severn Trent Management Services in a full-time consulting capacity. In this role, Moyer will assist in reacquiring districts formerly managed by Severn Trent by leveraging relationships established over his three decades in the Florida community development district (CDD) market. In addition, he will share his extensive management experience with Severn Trent's district managers who currently serve more than 100 district clients throughout Florida. Moyer assumed his role effective June 1 and works from Severn Trent's Celebration, Fla. office.

Moyer began his development career in 1973 and played an integral role in the drafting and passage of legislation enacted by the Florida Legislature in 1975, as well as Florida's Chapter 190 Uniform Community Development District Act of 1980. In 1982, Moyer established a professional association for the purpose of providing managerial services to units of local government, specifically special purpose districts that provided infrastructure facilities and services to new communities. In 1998, the firm was acquired by Severn Trent.

"We are pleased Gary has chosen to return to Severn Trent. With his experience and track record, Gary could have pursued any number of avenues with great success," remarked Dana Kaas, vice president, Contract Operations. "By selecting Severn Trent, Gary's actions speak to our shared philosophy and vision of CDD management services. Current and future clients can be assured Severn Trent is the right partner for their district management needs."
