FUJINON to Introduce New Half-Inch, Eng-Style Lens and Unveil Cost-Effective New Series at NAB 2011


Wayne, N.J., April 4, 2011 -FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Optical Devices Division has announced it will introduce a new lens for the half-inch format and the creation of a new series of lenses during the 2011 NAB Show in Las Vegas from April 11 through April 14. FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Optical Devices Division will exhibit within Booth #C7525 at the show.

The new ZS17x5.5 lens for half-inch format cameras is part of the high-end Select series of ENG-Style FUJINON lenses. This lens is available in either BERM or BERD version - with internal range extender, servo zoom and manual or servo focus. The Select series is derived from the company's popular HA line of 2/3-inch Premier Series high definition lenses.

The new Exceed Series of cost-effective, feature-rich lenses is being unveiled at NAB. The new series includes the XS20sx6.3BRM half-inch lens and XA20x8.5BMD 2/3-inch lens for videoconferencing applications and pan and tilt systems. These lenses are being shown for the first time at NAB this year. Also included within the new Exceed family is the XA range of 2/3-inch, XS line of half-inch, and XT line of 1/3-inch lenses.

Exceed lenses feature: Quick Zoom, Cruise Zoom and a digital servo control system to improve the performance of its zoom lenses. With Quick Zoom, an operator can rapidly zoom to the telephoto position to check focus through the push of a button. Pressing the Cruise Zoom button fixes the zoom speed at the existing rate.

Additionally, the S17x6.6BMD ENG lens will be introduced. The S17x6.6BMD is a motor drive version of the S17x6.6BRM ENG lens and is ideal for use within pan and tilt remote control systems.
