Fujinon Inc. Becomes Wholly Owned Subsidiary Of Fujifilm North America Corporation


Wayne, New Jersey, June 28, 2010 - FUJINON INC., a major manufacturer and distributor of optics and lens assemblies for the broadcast, digital cinema and industrial markets, today announced that, effective July 1, 2010, it will become FUJIFILM Optical Devices U.S.A., Inc., a newly formed subsidiary of FUJIFILM North America Corporation.

FUJIFILM Corporation has identified the optical device business as one of the company's main priorities. This restructuring will help us to reinforce those global objectives; align businesses to drive growth in these markets; and take advantage of synergies and shared services that will allow the company to serve our customers more effectively.

The following product areas will now be included within FUJIFILM Optical Devices U.S.A., Inc., 1) CCTV, which markets lenses for the security, surveillance, factory automation and machine vision; 2) Industrial Optics, which distributes front-view/rear-views automobile camera lenses, digital cinema projection lenses, laser-focusing lenses, and lenses for scanners and digital cameras; 3) Special Products, which markets high-end binoculars, including stabilized binoculars to the government and marine market.
