Fujinon HD Eng Zoom Captures Beauty of Utah Home and Scenery for HGTV Dream Home 2012

Wayne, N.J. - HGTV Dream Home 2012 will feature a spectacular home just outside of Park City, Utah that one lucky viewer can win in next year's sweepstakes. The show premieres immediately following the 123rd Tournament of Roses Parade on HGTV January 2, 2012, at 1 p.m., with an encore presentation January 3.

HGTV Dream Home, which has kicked off the New Year on HGTV for over a decade, introduces a new fully furnished custom home built just for this special event. The beauty and detail of the HGTV Dream Home 2012 was captured in 1080/60i resolution using a FUJINON HA25x11.5BERD HD ENG telephoto lens on a Sony HDWF900 CineAlta HDCAM Camcorder.

"Since the house is situated in a valley surrounded by mountains and overlooking the Provo River, we wanted to give viewers a true sense of its magnificent location and views," said Rick Porterfield, director of studio and field operations for Scripps Networks Interactive, based in Knoxville, Tenn. "We were blown away by the high-quality images captured by this lens as well as its smooth, easy operation-a real asset whenever we needed to shoot handheld."

Shot documentary-style, this one-hour show gives viewers a tour of the interior and exterior of the home including its great room, master sitting room, outdoor living room, and hot tub deck. It also features on-camera interviews with the architects, interior designers, landscapers, and builders who contributed to the effort.

Scripps' Director/Cameraman Jason Grant positioned the camcorder on a tripod in the mountains to capture a variety of beauty shots of the entire vista and the river below, and then zoomed in close to the house. Porterfield noted, "We shot in beautiful, sunny natural light, as well as the home's interior supplemented with LED and tungsten lighting."

The FUJINON HA25X11.5BERD is a Premier Series lightweight, compact telephoto HD lens with an F-stop range of 2.0 to 2.8, and a focal length ranging from 11.5 to 288mm. Ideal for documentaries and other electronic field production, this lens offers FUJINON's exclusive DigiPower zoom and focus servo system for fast, accurate zooming.

Scripps Networks Interactive also recently purchased two HA14x4.5BERM HD ENG Super Wide Angle lenses for other, upcoming network productions.
