Acquisition of Lumber Exporter Will Help Position Company for Significant International Growth
UNION CITY, Ind., Oct. 5, 2016Â - Frank Miller Lumber, the premier producer of exceptional quartersawn and plainsawn hardwoods, today announces the company's acquisition of USA Woods International, Inc., a Memphis, Tennessee-based wholesale hardwood lumber exporter engaged in the export of high-quality, kiln-dried American hardwoods. The procurement is the latest in the international expansion efforts of the century-old, Indiana lumber manufacturer.
USA Woods International, Inc., was established in 1989 by President, Ron Carlsson, to supply the international lumber market. The company ships Appalachian, Northern and Southern hardwood lumber, including, but not limited to, White Oak, Red Oak, White Ash, Poplar, Cottonwood, Walnut, Hard and Soft Maple, and Cherry.
