Former Premier Bank President, John Morton, Joins Barry-Wehmiller Board

ST. LOUIS - June 6, 2007 - Robert H. Chapman, chairman and CEO of Barry-Wehmiller
Companies, Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of John Morton III to the Barry-Wehmiller board of directors. With more than three decades of leadership in the banking and investment services industry, Morton's unique expertise will further strengthen the talent and diversity within this team of distinguished professionals.

"We have a long tradition of seeking out individuals with relevant experience in the global business community to provide their dedication and insight to support the continued growth of the Barry-Wehmiller organization," Chapman stated.
"As a privately held company, we are very proud to have a legal board of this caliber and to welcome John to our team."

Prior to retiring in September 2005, Morton was president of Premier Bank, where he directed a national network of 2,100 client managers deployed in more than 790 financial centers throughout the country's most affluent markets. Prior to Bank of America's purchase of Boatmen's Bancshares, Inc., Morton was chairman, CEO and president of Boatmen's National Bank of St. Louis.

"I was honored to be offered a position on the Barry-Wehmiller board of directors, and I accepted because I knew I would be passionate about fulfilling my responsibilities," Morton said. "The unique and dynamic culture articulated by Barry-Wehmiller's 'Living Legacy of Leadership' is by far the company's most distinguishing factor. This journey is bringing to life the full potential of the entire company and enabling it to outperform the manufacturing industry by a wide margin."

Morton has served on the board of directors of numerous corporations and non-profit
organizations in Baltimore, Washington D.C., Kansas City and St. Louis. He holds a bachelor's degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from Harvard University. He also served in the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant aboard the nuclear submarine USS George Washington Carver.
