Former Bard and J & J Executive Named President of Polyzen, Leading U.S. Medical Device Firm

Credentials Bode Well for Accelerated Growth and New Market Penetrations for Polyzen

RALEIGH/APEX, NC (April 21, 2010) -- Polyzen, Inc., a leading developer and supplier of medical devices, announces that Richard (Rich) C. Kindberg has joined the firm as President. He assumes the position from Tilak M. Shah who becomes Chief Executive and Chief Technical Officer (CEO and CTO).

Rich Kindberg's medical device career spans more than 27 years. He has held executive positions with leading medical products companies including Ethicon Endo-Surgery, a division of Johnson & Johnson and Bard Electrophysiology, a division of C.R. Bard. Previously, he was the President of Teleflex Medical (Durham, NC) and most recently the President and CEO of Luminetx Corporation (Memphis, TN), where he was instrumental in orchestrating the firm's recent organization transition and company sale.

Polyzen spokesmen note that this is the first of several planned major new hires as the company continues to expand and sets sights on accelerated growth over the next months and years. The firm's new President and CEO see this growth stemming from efforts by Polyzen to provide companies that have a North American base with new alternatives for R & D outsourcing as well as contract manufacturing. Such moves, say company officials, can save medical products OEMs (original equipment manufacturers), both large and small, considerable time, aggravation and money as opposed to them going offshore for their needs.

According to the new Chief Executive and Technical Officer, Tilak Shah, "We conducted a long and arduous search for a medical products industry leader who could bring the skills, experience, contacts and proven drive to grow the company in existing and new areas. Rich is charged with strengthening the brand of Polyzen as a multi-product and service resource for the medical products industry world-wide. Also, he will be responsible for developing and offering a greater array of services to include building our strong base of strategic and/or equity partnerships. As such, this will enable our customers to develop and foster new product lines with our help. Under his direction, we will be strengthening our core base of products and services across several new industries, not just limited to medical devices."

CEO/CTO To Concentrate on Product Development

Shah is quick to note that with Kindberg's taking on responsibilities as the firm's President, "I will now be able to concentrate on developing new products and resolving customer challenges. This is what I really enjoy doing, and have a great passion for providing creative solutions for our customers."

Kindberg adds that, "I am excited about joining Polyzen and look forward to working with Tilak and the great team that he has assembled to grow Polyzen. Having known about Polyzen and acknowledging the entrepreneurial spirit that thrives within, I look to expand upon that foundation and bring the company to new heights.

"I hope to build on the company's solid reputation," the new President continues, "and broaden the Polyzen brand by extending our capabilities, products and services to established medical products firms as well as those budding within the industry as well. Our goals are to focus on growth by developing value-added partnerships that ultimately benefit all of our customers."
