FNA 2012 Offered Technical Knowledge, Networking, Fun and Much More

CHERRY VALLEY, IL - This year's FNA tradeshow in Nashville, Tenn., was full of great experiences, tons of technical knowledge-sharing, networking and lots of fun for the more than 1,300 in attendance. Ipsen's booth featured information on their overall product line, interactive media presentations, fun giveaways and in-booth "Ask the Expert" sessions.

Kicking off the show with his technical session, Jim Grann presented, "The Secret to Successful Vacuum Brazing." More than 40 people attended this 60-minute session covering several expert brazing tips, including controlling precise temperature during brazing process, developing proper joint designs with regards to surface area and joint gaps leading to repeatability, eliminating water-vapor-related issues with enhanced pumping options, maintaining high economic efficiency and reproducibility, and much more.

Over the course of the two-day show, hundreds visited Ipsen's booth, inquiring about heat treating products, general furnace maintenance and much more. In addition to providing valuable industry knowledge and customer service, Ipsen also held a grand-prize raffle where attendees used the "plane tickets" found in their show guide to enter to win. The lucky winner, John Gaydosh, will enjoy a getaway to New York City or a destination of his choosing with his prize, a $2,500 travel voucher.

Jim Grann, along with Ipsen exhibitors, Mark Heninger and Fred Roth, agree, "The main goal of these tradeshows is to communicate Ipsen's new technologies, spread Ipsen's name and establish Ipsen's rank as the leader in advancements in thermal technologies. With the high foot traffic of our booth, seminars and presentations, as well as several new inquiries for products and Aftermarket Services, we believe that we have successfully accomplished our goal."

MTI has not yet released the final attendance numbers for the FNA show, but has reported that attendance numbers far exceeded their expectations. Presenters, exhibitors and attendees were pleased with the show's technical sessions, exhibition and the outstanding networking opportunities the show provided. Additional entertainment, including The Ultimate Comedy Theater and the welcome dinner reception, was a great addition to the event and well received by all tradeshow participants.
