FMC Technologies to Supply Subsea Systems for Shell's Perdido Project in the Gulf of Mexico

Houston, Texas, May 03, 2007 - FMC Technologies (NYSE: FTI) announced today that it has signed a contract with Shell to supply the subsea completion and subsea processing systems for the Perdido Regional Development project in the Gulf of Mexico.
The scope of supply for this phase of the Perdido Regional Development includes 17 subsea trees rated for 10,000 pounds per square inch (psi), two subsea manifolds, five subsea caisson separation and boosting systems, topside and subsea controls and related subsea equipment. This will be FMC's second full-field development contract signed with Shell utilizing subsea oil and gas separation and boosting following the recent award by Shell of the BC-10 field development, offshore Brazil. The subsea system will utilize FMC's globally managed product standards, supporting manufacturing and supply networks, and project management processes.

The Perdido Regional Development is located approximately 200 miles south of Freeport, Texas and will have a spar-based common processing hub moored in about 8,000 feet of water, making it the deepest production spar in the world. Ultra deep water depths in the Perdido area range from about 7,500 to 10,000 feet, with a rugged seabed terrain.
