Flury Foundry Expands its Lead-Free Alloy Base Which Now Includes C87850
Flury Foundry continues to grow its lead-free alloy base. In complying with the 2013 National Clean Water Act, Flury Foundry now casts a large variety lead-free alloys. These include C89833, C87600, C86500 and, most recently, C87850. The lead-free casting alloy C87850 is the first brass ingot alloy to receive NSF International certification as meeting the standard specified in NSF/ANSI Standard 61, Annex G. It is nominally 75-78% copper, 2.7- 3.4% silicon, 0.05-0.2% phosphorus, remainder zinc.
