Fluke Introduces New Silver Instrument CarePlan to Provide Extended Warranty Coverage for Test Tools

Calibration and upgrades covered at time of repair

Everett, Wash. - Fluke Corporation, the global leader in handheld electronic test and measurement technology, today announced the new Silver Instrument CarePlan, a warranty that extends coverage of selected Fluke bench instruments for two or four years beyond the original warranty.

Owners of these Fluke bench instruments may purchase Silver CarePlan coverage at the time of purchase or any time within the product's one-year factory warranty. If a Fluke covered instrument needs repair, Fluke will provide the service at no charge, including a new calibration of the customer's choice. When purchasing a plan, the customer can select from these options:

TRA: Traceable calibration without data
STD: Standard calibration with data (Z540 in US)
ACR: Accredited calibration (A2LA in US)

In addition, Silver CarePlan customers registered on the Fluke Web site will receive email notifications of important product change notices (PCNs). If an instrument is sent in for repair, Fluke technicians will install these firmware, software or hardware changes without charge. Other providers cannot perform these services.

Silver CarePlans are just one of the value-added products and services offered by Fluke. Other offerings include:

Gold CarePlans - Priority turnaround service plans for annual calibration and repair.
TEAM - Web-based Test Equipment Asset Management helps track and control your test and measurement assets.
Product upgrades - Enhancement options for a wide variety of Fluke instruments.
On-site calibration contracts - Keep manufacturers up and running and costs under control with scheduled calibration visits by Fluke Service.

The Fluke Silver CarePlan extended warranty covers normal instrument repair. Bench instruments showing signs of failure due to improper operation or application or physical abuse, as determined by our labs, are not covered under Silver CarePlans and standard repair and calibration charges will apply.
