FATHOM and Lawrence Livermore National Lab Join Together in Technology Partnership


3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing Company Partners with LLNL’s Additive Manufacturing Research and Development Team



OAKLAND, Calif. — FATHOM, an advanced technology driven company with an expertise in 3D printing and additive manufacturing, announced today that the company has entered into a technology development partnership with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL).



This collaboration brings together FATHOM’s advanced industry knowledge and LLNL’s unique RD capabilities, facility resources, engineers and scientists to introduce and commercialize new market- leading additive manufacturing technologies.

At Lawrence Livermore, we are not only applying additive manufacturing to our core mission of national security, but seeking ways to accelerate the process and create new materials,” said Diane Chinn, division leader of Materials Engineering at LLNL. “We look forward to collaborating with FATHOM to explore new advances in this area.”



By leveraging these combined strengths, FATHOM and LLNL’s technology solutions will involve new material development, processing, testing, and characterization, plus, application specific advancements such as hardware and software.
