FABTECH Headlines in Las Vegas in November

North America's Largest Metal Forming, Fabricating, Welding and Finishing Event to be Held in Las Vegas November 12 - 14, 2012

Las Vegas, NV - More than 1,100 leading manufacturers and 25,000 attendees will converge at the Las Vegas Convention Center for FABTECH 2012 on November 12-14. The action-packed, three-day event is a convenient one-stop shop to source the best products and services for metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing. More than 400,000 net square feet of floor space will be dedicated to live equipment demonstrations, offering visitors the unique opportunity to see, touch and compare products side-by-side and find cost-saving solutions. Simultaneously, the FABTECH educational conference will offer unique insights and expert speakers who will discuss today's hottest topics in manufacturing.

"FABTECH is so much more than trade show, it's a year-round experience," said John Catalano, show co-manager. "Attendees have the opportunity to see new products and new technologies in action and leave the expo with new ideas, new suppliers and new solutions for working smarter and becoming more competitive. They also join a network of other attendees that fosters knowledge and contacts needed to stay current with industry developments in the year to come."

FABTECH's annual expo comes as manufacturing continues to lead the American economy out of the recession. Manufacturers in the U.S. added 12,000 jobs in May 2012, the eighth-straight month of gains in the sector. Since 2010, a half million manufacturing jobs have been created in the U.S. Offshored work is returning home and profits at manufacturing companies increased 25 percent in 2011.

"The slow but steady economic recovery makes attending FABTECH more important than ever for manufacturers who want to stay ahead of the competition and discover the latest technologies from around the world, forge partnerships, share ideas and, of course, connect with potential buyers and suppliers," said Mark Hoper, show co-manager. "The connections made and knowledge shared at FABTECH will help fuel the engine behind the current economic recovery - the manufacturing sector."

The five FABTECH co-sponsors represent a wide variety of expertise and include: the American Welding Society (AWS), the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International (FMA), the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), and the Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI). Together, these associations bring unmatched technical proficiency and industry insight to the 2012 FABTECH expo.
