FAA Makes Statement concerning Huerta v. Pirker appeal.

March 17, 2014 - Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued notice appealing decision by NTSB Administrative Law Judge in Huerta v. Pirker civil penalty case. Regarding its reasons for doing so, FAA stated its concern "that this decision could impact the safe operation of the national airspace system and the safety of people and property on the ground." Appealing decision of NTSB Administrative Law Judge to full National Transportation Safety Board will stay said decision until Board rules.
