F.W. Webb Brings Together Ernie Coutermarsh and Jim Bodle to Drive Industrial Business Growth
F.W. Webb Company, the largest distributor of plumbing, heating, and HVAC products and industrial pipe, valves and fitting in New England and New York, today announced the appointment of Senior Vice-President Ernie Coutermarsh to lead Industrial Business Development and Jim Bodle to Vice President of Industrial Sales.
"With 42 years at F.W. Webb Company, Ernie Coutermarsh plays a key role in the success of our company today, and will continue to do so," said Jeff Pope, president of F.W. Webb Company. Coutermarsh started his career at F.W. Webb as an outside salesman. Nine months later, the 24-year-old was promoted to Branch Manager, and very soon after, Coutermarsh was tapped to lead their industrial distribution. In the early 1970s, Coutermarsh's new way of thinking about everything from sales to distribution successfully broadened Webb's industrial customer base, and laid the groundwork for the company's continued upward climb.
Today, in his new role leading F.W. Webb's Industrial Business Development, Coutermarsh will focus on major projects and possible acquisitions of industrial competitors. He will look for additional market opportunities and identify people both within and outside the company to continue to strengthen and grow F.W. Webb's industrial program. He will continue to call on national accounts and see key vendors.
Jim Bodle joined F.W. Webb 12 years ago as General Manager to lead and start the BioPharm industrial division. His industrial managerial responsibilities then grew to include the Webb Pump division and, most recently, engineered Webb Piping products.
In his new endeavor, as Vice President of Industrial Sales, Bodle will be responsible for managing the overall industrial sales effort. "I am confident that with Jim's experience both in sales and management, he'll continue to maintain and grow F.W. Webb's dominant position as the industry leader in PVF industrial distribution in New England and New York," said Pope.
