Express Pattern's New Quality Manager and Quality System Position Company for Future Growth

Vernon Hills, IL - Express Pattern Inc., the leader in prototype and short run investment casting patterns, and one of the largest US rapid prototyping services bureaus, announces the appointment of Bill Schultz as the company's new Quality Manager. Mr. Schultz is responsible for implementing a Quality System to prepare Express Pattern for their upcoming ISO 9001 and AS9100 certifications and aid in structuring the company for future growth. In addition, he is developing a system to handle quality control in-line and is enhancing Express Pattern's customer quoting system.

Mr. Schultz is a highly experienced quality expert. Before joining Express Pattern, Mr. Schultz spent 15 years on the corporate technical staffs of both IBM and Unisys. He has also worked with companies in both the automotive and medical device industries. Mr. Schultz, a resident of Grayslake, IL holds a masters degree from the University of Missouri and is also a graduate of the University of Minnesota.

Express Pattern specializes in creating high quality QuickCast and Thermojet(TM) investment casting patterns and functional prototype parts that are accurate, consistent, repeatable, and have a superior surface finish. Express Pattern's recently expanded 20,000 sq. ft. facility in Vernon Hills, IL, has 12 QuickCast(TM) stereolithography (SLA) units and 9 Thermojet(TM) systems. Employing 25 highly effective project managers, engineers, and solutions specialists, the company also attributes much of its growth to its team of experts placing a high value on the people-side of Express Pattern's business. The team is known to go beyond the expected to assist Express Pattern's customers in developing procedures that successfully and reliable process investment casting patterns and prototype production.
