Evana Automation Specialists Wins New Contracts from Tier-One Automotive Supplier

Evansville, Indiana - Evana Automation Specialists, a leading Systems Integrator and builder of custom, automated assembly and test systems, received three new contracts from a Tier-one Automotive Supplier, who is a leader in the creation and production of high-quality components and systems for the automotive industry's most demanding companies.

Under the terms of the contract, Evana will build three stand-alone, semi-automatic work cells to assist in the assembly of brake assemblies. The first work cell requires an operator to load upper and lower brake reservoir halves onto a welding fixture, where, once initiated, the halves are welded into one complete unit. The cell will be designed to handle 200 assemblies per hour.

The second work cell requires an operator to load brake reservoirs onto a test fixture, where, once initiated, a pressurized leak test is performed. This cell will also be designed to handle 200 assemblies per hour.

The third work cell requires an operator to load brake reservoirs onto a test fixture, install a float switch on the reservoir, perform a continuity test on the float switch, and then mark which reservoirs pass the test. This cell will be designed to handle 493 assemblies per hour.

"Evana is honored that this return customer has selected us for these contracts," said Randy Wire, General Manager of Evana Automation Specialists. "Our commitment to building world-class assembly and test systems has allowed us to form a strong relationship with them over the years."
