ETL Systems to Make Its Debut at Convergence India Showcasing New RF over Fibre StingRay Product

Most compact RF over fibre equipment on the market

The latest in RF over fibre products will be among technologies showcased by ETL Systems, a global designer and manufacturer of RF distribution equipment for satellite communications, as the company makes its debut at this year's Convergence India exhibition between 21 and 23 January in New Delhi.

StingRay, which will be displayed at booth C180, is designed to address the growing number of satellite teleports which require reliable short distance fibre links. The range includes options for indoor and outdoor applications, offering the highest level of redundancy while maintaining the best quality of signal. The StingRay range now includes a variety of transmit and receive modules, 10MHz over fibre modules and redundancy configurations.

The compact product offers unparalleled reliability and resilience through hot-swap components, remote control and monitoring of temperature, fan status and power supply.

"This is the most compact unit of its kind on the market, capable of fitting the greatest number of hot-swap transmit and receive fibre modules in the smallest space," said Dr Esen Bayar, Technical Director of ETL Systems. "We have focussed on excellent module to module isolation and low IMD3 ensuring maximum efficiency in spectrum usage. We are very much looking forward to presenting StingRay as we make our debut at Convergence India."

Visitors to Convergence India will also be able to view ETL's new Dextra range of web-enabled RF splitters and combiners to cover the L-band frequency, as well as a model from the 32 x 32 Enigma Matrix/Router range, which provides hot-swap of all active components for resilience and reliability in service.

ETL's presence at Convergence India reaffirms its commitment to the region and the company's local agent Stafford Lobo will be present at the show to meet both new and existing clients.

"India is an incredibly important region for ETL and we look forward to participating in Convergence India for the first time," said Andrew Bond, ETL's Sales Director. "With 25 years of experience in designing award-winning RF equipment and a dedicated team of in-house RF engineers, delegates with even the most intricate of requirements can be confident that our representatives will be able to find a solution to fit their needs."

Demonstrations at Convergence India

New! StingRay RF over fibre range

Building on ETL's existing RF expertise, the new range provides a unique design for high isolation applications. All chassis in the range are hot-swap with fibre module options such as single or dual modules, -20dB monitor ports and 13/18V LNB powering.

New! Dextra L-band splitters and combiners

ETL's new Dextra series includes 4-way and 8-way splitters and combiners in both single and dual configurations and 16-way splitters and combiners, available as single units. The range offers consistently excellent RF performance, including high linearity and low noise figure, and outperforms some of the more expensive models available. Remote control and monitoring via SNMP web browser interface, with settable alarm thresholds, as well as flexible and configurable LNB power at the input ports of the splitters is also featured.

Enigma L-band Switch Matrix / Router

The 32x32 Enigma matrix, - a highly resilient matrix featuring hot-swap of PSU's, CPU's and single matrix cards. Self-diagnostic tools allow for sustained and continuous monitoring along with local and remote control functions. The matrix can be supplied part populated expanded in increments of one for future requirements.

128x128 Vulcan matrix, 64x64 Vortex matrix, 16x32 Valiant matrix and the 16x16 Victor matrix make up the rest of the switch matrix / router family.

Components Mounting System

Designed with flexibility at its core, the 1U 19 inch chassis accommodates ETL's Scorpion range of L-band two, four and eight-way passive splitters and combiners in any combination, as required by the operator. The simple, versatile solution gives users the choice to install the same components, a mixture of all three, or anything in between.
