Eriez® to Host 2012 International Business Conference in Erie with "A World of Opportunities"
Erie, PA - Eriez® President and CEO Tim Shuttleworth announces that the company will host its International Business Conference October 1-2 at the Erie Bayfront Sheraton Hotel and adjacent Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, PA. The event is expected to attract about 150 attendees from Eriez Field Sales Offices and Affiliate Plants around the world.
The theme for the Eriez 2012 International Business Conference is "A World of Opportunities." Shuttleworth explains, "In this, our 70th anniversary year, we have more of a global focus than ever before. We are experiencing tremendous growth both around the world and right here at home. For Eriez, there truly is a world of opportunities." He adds, "This conference brings together our reps, sales staff and engineering team to discuss what makes Eriez so successful, and how we can continue to work together to seize opportunities to grow our company and provide opportunities for our people across the globe."
The last Eriez International Business and Marketing Conference was held in 2008. "Much has changed since last we met in 2008. With hard work and determination, Eriez fought through the global recession with major investments in new and existing facilities, our people and equipment," says Charlie Ingram, Eriez Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "This conference will help us build on our successes and focus on further growing our businesses."
Highlights of the 2012 Eriez International Business Conference will include speeches from Shuttleworth as well as two keynote speakers: Charles Cohon, President and CEO of the Manufacturers' Agents National Association, and Chester Elton, author of "The Orange Revolution." Ingram explains, "Because orange is our corporate color, we are especially interested in what Mr. Elton has to say about the characteristics of high-performance teams, increasing productivity and innovation, and what The Orange Revolution is all about."
Daytime activities will include breakout sessions where participants will discuss sales strategies and challenges. The evening entertainment consists of tours of area attractions on Monday. On Tuesday, there will be a number of distinguished persons recognized for their achievements and service over the past year.
