Epson Sponsors "Between Worlds" Exhibition at Leica Gallery in Los Angeles

Black-and-White Exhibit Printed on 64-Inch Epson Stylus Pro 11880

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Epson today announced it is sponsoring the "Between Worlds" project, the latest series of Waterscapes released from renowned artist and photographer Henthorne. Partnering with Earthscape artist Andres Amador, Henthorne captured images where earth, sea and sky unite. The black-and-white exhibit was printed entirely on the Epson Stylus® Pro 11880 64-inch photo printer and is now open through Aug. 31 at the Leica Gallery in West Hollywood, Calif.

"Henthorne has a unique ability to capture water, clouds and shoreline images that lure the viewer in," said Lucie Milanes, director of marketing strategy and communications, Epson America, Inc. "Combining the distinctive talent of Henthorne's photography and Amador's sand artistry with Epson large-format printing helped to create an experience that the human eye is unable to capture on its own."

The "Between Worlds" exhibition showcases a four month long project on the wild cliffs of northern California that captures the collaboration of Henthorne's black-and-white epic exposure waterscapes combined with the earthscapes of artist Andres Amador. Balancing between minimalism and abstraction, the series captures a new intersection of ocean and earth - blending it, and in some instances, nearly obscuring it.

"In photography, the primary artistic process includes capturing and editing a photo, but it's the last step in the equation, the final printed output, that makes all the difference. When a photograph is printed it transforms an image into a piece of inspirational artwork," said Henthorne. "Printing up to 64-inches wide on the Epson Stylus Photo 11880 was critical for me to provide more depth to my work and make my photographic art engaging for the audience. Ultimately, Epson allowed me to bring my true artistic vision to life, to a place where the ephemeral meets the ethereal."

The "Between Worlds" exhibition is open Monday - Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from Noon to 5 p.m. through Aug. 31. For more information, visit the Leica Gallery website.
