DC Mayor Vincent Gray, Industry and Academia Join Forces to "Make Washington a Healthy Place to do Business".
WASHINGTON, April 13, 2011 - Enlightened, Inc. ("Enlightened"), a leading provider of Information Technology (IT) consulting services, announced today that its President, Antwanye Ford, participated as a panelist at the DC Chamber's 2011 Annual Policy Forum and Legislative Reception. Under the theme of "Making Washington a Healthy Place to do Business," the DC Chamber hosted an engaging and provocative discussion with DC Mayor Vincent Gray, industry, and academia on how to make Washington DC a place where businesses and their employees both thrive. Mayor Gray moderated the 90-minute panel discussion on topics including how to attract, retain and grow the private sector, equity in employment opportunities, as well as, District infrastructure and economic development.
Mr. Ford, a native Washingtonian, spoke of the District's need to invest in technology and innovation as a means for spurring economic development and job creation within the District. Mr. Ford is the President and CEO of Enlightened, a Washington DC based IT consulting firm that employs over 100 personnel within the District and metropolitan community. As a local business owner, Mr. Ford provided valuable insight into the special challenges faced by local businesses and the community at-large.
