According to Fieldbus Foundation Global Marketing Manager Larry O'Brien, automation end users can gain a better understanding of the business value proposition of FOUNDATION fieldbus by attending a seminar in their region. "We are seeing an increase in FOUNDATION technology installations in both modernization/migration projects and greenfield projects," said O'Brien. "As end users modernize, they are looking for something more than a conventional process automation system. FOUNDATION technology provides significantly reduced installed cost, reduced operational costs, and improved operational performance."

Oriented towards process industry end users and engineering firms, the Fieldbus Foundation's one-day seminars cover all aspects of FOUNDATION technology business value, successful project execution, and successful system design. Leading industry end users, systems integrators, and trainers will also discuss successful installation and commissioning practices, control strategies, and operational and maintenance strategies. Each topic is discussed in detail for 45 minutes to one hour, followed immediately by a hands-on live demonstration of 15-20 minutes to reinforce the subject matter. The seminars conclude with a panel where questions will be taken from the audience.

The Fieldbus Foundation will provide each 2011 end user seminar participant with a certificate that can be used for PDH hours, as well as hard copies of presentation materials. Participants also receive discount certificates for 10 percent off regular course pricing at any North American FOUNDATION Certified Training Center. Lunch is included for all attendees.
