Chicago, Illinois, USA - Contract electronics manufacturers and assemblers (EMS) as well as OEMs will find a wealth of resources and streamlined Printed Circuit Board (PCB) information on Electronic Interconnect's newly-launched web site, www.Eiconnect.com. The EI web site has been completely re-designed and reconfigured to support EI's long-stated goal of making its web site the primary point of contact for electronics manufacturers seeking to specify and order printed circuit boards for electronics manufacturing. Changes include not only a new look and feel but also the functionality of pages. For example, on the 'Zoom Proto' Page, Zoom ordering is now done in only 4 steps. On the 'Instant Quote' Page, instant ordering is done in only 3 steps. There's an easier layout change for 'place a bid', the same as for 'Instant quote'. The site now has a News and Events page to highlight news at EI as well as to announce EI's participation at events such as trade shows and conferences.
The 'PCB Resources' section of the site is loaded with helpful information for ordering and specifying printed circuit boards. Existing customers can re-order simply, and new customers can order prototypes, get engineering help, request custom quotes, and perform a variety of functions interactively. "Once upon a time, specifying and ordering printed circuit boards for a new design electronics assembly product was a real headache" Patel says. "It was fraught with delays, design issues, and other problems that made it quite often an ordeal for the customer, especially for the first-time electronics manufacturer. We've broken with that tradition and vastly simplified and eased the process of going from concept to working board, saving the customer time and money and getting his product to production a lot faster."
